Kev won the vote for the best goal of the 4th round of FA cup

vote results:

There were the usual rag and dipper stocking fillers in there so i am genuinely surprised Kev's goal won the vote

Must be a lot of neutrals who are not anti-city after all. Maybe KDB brilliance transcends tribal rivalry ?

He's done it before. Am I the only one who remembers? Maybe it was a dream?

Someone else did it this season as well. Everton? I can't remember who or which team. Anyway, that also was proclaimed as genius. Seems to me a pretty obvious thing to do. But then there are quite a few obvious things to do which don't seem to get done.

Don't think it was. The home game was just before Christmas and was 4-0, the away game was when Raheem scored a last minute goal, then got sent off for the celebration.
I'm pretty sure it was last season's home game.

it was shown on the beeb last night at half time ,a very sunny day in Manc, so it wasn‘t last December.

It was Coutinho for the dippers who has also done it

Quite probably other lesser players try it, but just smash it into the wall! It only looks good when it works.

To top off what was a wonderful goal DeBruyne even managed to get a subtle dig in at the ref when talking about it.

"The wall was not nine metres away from me and so they were very close and it was easy to put it under."

Love this fella.

Kevin Kilbane was talking about this on radio yesterday. He said that in training they would always be told to jump no more than 4 inches, just enough to get that extra bit of height but not let the ball under.

It just to goes to show how much work goes into our analysis side of things when we check to see how high the wall jumps at free kicks.

10 yards = 9.14 meters
so in summary he wasn’t having a dig.

Surely this is just basic background work????????!!!!!!!! Maybe I just worked for a quality company. :?

I am constantly amazed at how unimaginative/dumb many football moves are.

Do they for instance realise that you can't be offside from a throw in? Yet how many ever make use of that to get to the byline and put a cross in?

And how about a free kick on the right of the box? Why is there no one out wide right to take a pass and put in a cross? Or no one out wide left of the overhit cross or poor clearance?

When playing against 10, stick a fast forward on the half-way line - it will tie up two central defenders, giving a 9-7 advantage in our half.
