I would had gone for him.

26 is no age and he can be here at least 7 years and provide the goods. The problem is that we will have to sign someone on that position in the summer, but I would had wanted to do now, knowing that we are going all guns blazzing on all 4 competitions.

I still think there might be more to this, there is still time.

PS: Also, I saw Swansea was trying to loan Schurrle. I would try that route and loan him until in the summer.

I hate this deal..... he is a petulant cunt and could cause huge issues in the dressing room

One of the greatest improvements of this squad is it’s lack of fucking stupid hairdos..... look what happened to sterling.... I’m not sure Mahrez is ready to take the step up and stop being such a twat.

Seriously, no..... he is talented, but is a dick head

IF we ACTUALLY had given Phil Foden away for almost anyone, barring maybe a 23yo Messi, I would have stormed into the Club HQ, carrying my fucking portable piano and singing "Glory, glory the Munchens U*d... "

just saying!

Give Brahim some game time. Jesus will be back soon. Mahrez still has another 4 or 5 years at the top, which would have meant him hampering Brahim and Foden's progression for 4 or 5 years

One actual winger now, our bench will not look great tonight at all, Diaz is not ready to play in a team competing on four fronts, we needed another player in, probably a cm more than mahrez tbh cause if fernandinho gets injured we are fucked

We could have done with him but there we are. We are developing a reputation for standing firm on any nonsense in our transfer dealings which will serve us in good stead in the future. We will miss the dual threat down the flanks though until Sane comes back in mid March or so.

Unless he was being considered a stop-gap measure for a couple of seasons. In the current market, £55m isn't considered an overly-crazy price for one - we could easily have recouped at least 40-50% of that even if he'd have flopped spectacularly in a worst-case scenario. £95m would have been pushing it, though, as it'd be hard to justify that kind of outlay for someone who didn't fit into long-term plans.
