Yep, in fact I'd go so far as to say he could be next season's player of the year.

IF he comes and if he is player of the year our season will probably be another wow year

12 goals 10 assists in an average team, gives us more attacking options can only be a plus...

60m is about what I was hoping for, and even less than I was expecting.

If the fee we're hearing now comes true this would be quite good value for his quality and fit into the team and if you are right it could end up being a coup for us, effectively.

I would wager that Vardy will want a move too, no chance he is going to score the same amount of goals without the Mahrez supply line. I can see him going to Chelsea and Morata being sold.

He will never get player of the year in a light Blue Shirt .

60m for a rotation player that should even be behind Bernardo is a lot of cash.

Technically it wont be cash. It'll be amortised over 5 years or whatever.

Non-technically I tend to trust Guardiola. Ideal player for breaking through all those packed defences

And everyone is a rotation player

I think that's the main reason we're getting him. We can't reply on Sterling every game we're drawing to pop up in the last minute with a winner.

If we take the money completely out of the equation then it's true that we need some rotational depth in more advanced midfield positions. It's just that that's all Mahrez is ever going to be. Kev, Dave, Sane and Sterling are all superior players. I would even say that Bernie is much better player.

Been a very good PL player the last three years. Scored and assisted plenty and was one of the main reasons for Leicesters title triumph. He is two footed, which for a forward/wide man, is a bonus as the defender doesn’t know which way he will go. Scores with both feet, is a good passer and crosser. Rarely gets injured. A lot of positives for the lad. And £60M in this day and age isn’t a huge fee.

Regarding where he will play. I envisage Bernardo Silva playing more centrally, covering for Dave Silva more as I see him as the long term replacement for him. I also can see Sterling playing a few more games centrally as cover for Jesus and Aguero. We are in 4 competitions and it’s a World Cup year so fatigue will rear its ugly head from January onwards next year. The more quality players we have as cover the better. There will be plenty of minutes and game time, there’s no worry about that.

It’s a yes from me

I think it provides good competition for Sane too as Sterling will be freed up to play on the left if Sane isn't producing.
