Living wage

City already pay directly employed staff the living wage. Now they are renegotiating with all suppliers to ensure they include a living wage provision. The Club should be congratulated on this excellent initiative.

What exactly is a living wage? Isn't it subjective?

No. It’s set by the independent Living Wage Foundation. A number of businesses voluntarily sign up to it. It’s obviously higher than the Government set minimum wage which is compulsory.
