I spotted that. Both him and his lineman said they didn’t know what was going on. Linesman said “he may have been offside I can’t be sure” and Moss said “he can’t have been offside it came off Lovren” it didn’t but that wouldn’t have made a difference.

Hard to tell if Lovren touched it (I reckon he did but not as he intended) but if he did he played Kane onside. 2 good penalty decisions IMO and against the binmen at Klanfield.

Because Kane was already a yard offside when the. ball was played. The defender didn’t “play the ball to Kane”. If Lovren did touch it it would have nicked him as the ball was played through from the Spurs player.

So if Lovren has stopped the ball. Put his foot on it and picked out Kane, yes you’re correct - he wouldn’t have been offside. That’s not what happened though.

It didn't warrant the reaction from Lamela but its still a foul. Perhaps what refs need to do in these situations is give the penalty for the foul but also give the yellow card for the twattish reaction.

There was a similar incident in our game. Ball over the top and the Burnley boy was offside so Kompany made sure and headed the ball out for a corner. In my opinion it should have been offside as if the flag goes up then Kompany doesn't need to play the ball.
