as many have said, Kevin has drastically dipped for the last month or so, which is what i think will essentially hand the award to Salah--unfortunately, that being said, when Kevin was on fire for most of the season there wasn't any competition whatsoever with Salah, even though Mo was still scoring at that point. and his 4 goal haul vs Watford will just be the recent thing that sticks in voter's minds.

I don't get this dipped drastically bit. The only thing he hasn't done recently is the worldy passes/assists. He has still helped run the midfield and dominate teams

He's only been a bit below his best on relative terms.
Kev TBH is generally the best player on the park even when he's having a bad (by his standards) game.
But in terms of POTY, it's all about being noticed.

Five big, no huge, games coming up and I fully expect him - and Big Dave - to shine.

I just got told that Lingard has scored more than KDB this season so that means he’s had a better season...

It’s now being pushed that Kev has lost the ball more than any player in the top flight in Europe this season.
Sounds shit....until you realise Messi has lost the ball more than any other player in Spain.

Didn't Sanchez lose the ball more times in the first half v Seville than KDB all season?

these individual awards have always been total rubbish. scott parker won one of them, ffs! and because of the c*nty politics behind it all, there's no chance kdb or any of ours will ever win.

If you asked this same question in January I think you would have said the complete opposite.

probably because KDB was playing really well back then

Agree 100%.

Whoscored player ratings also agree:

https://www.whoscored.com/Players/73084 ... -De-Bruyne

Hard to find games he is rated under 7 since December:

Burney (a) - 6.56
Palace (a) - 6.97
Bournemouth (h) - 6.8

On a side note...

Whoscored also have KDB's average rating for the season in all competitions (as of today, 27 March) as higher than Salah's:

7.82 - Salah
7.90 - De Bruyne
