I don't get this dipped drastically bit. The only thing he hasn't done recently is the worldy passes/assists. He has still helped run the midfield and dominate teams

He's only been a bit below his best on relative terms.
Kev TBH is generally the best player on the park even when he's having a bad (by his standards) game.
But in terms of POTY, it's all about being noticed.

If you asked this same question in January I think you would have said the complete opposite.
