Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Unfortunately I cannot create a poll which would be optimal for this kind of post.
This is something ive been wondering for awhile now this season:
In a big match who are the first two names on the teamsheet for you? this is barring injury and suspension but NOT fatigue/rotation. So this is not necessarily the best 2 players in our squad but, really, more about who you think are the most influential/important two players that have to start a big match (even if they're fatigued).
Mine are Ederson and KDB. There's a 3rd option that I debated on but really these 2 have to start any big match for me.

I totally agree with Ederson and KdB, closely followed by Merlin.

Just seems a crazy concept to name just 2 players ( but I guess you were a bit bored ::))) when 1 has to be the keeper. The key joy about the team we are watching is that it is very much about the team.
Yes Kev has had some special games and moments and is seemingly 1st or 2nd for player of the year but at City so has Aguero , Merlin , Sane , Sterling to name just a few.

I guess I would sort the spine out first, which would be Ederson, Fern, KDB, Dave. In most other positions we have options. I know that is more than two!

Ederson and Dave Silva.

Ederson and Walker. Ederson goes without saying, and Walker because there's nobody comparable to his quality in his position, and I think Danilo (his go-to cover) offers a fair bit of versatility for changing formation from the bench.

Ederson and Fern. Simply due to the fact they don't have proven quality replacements. For example, if kdb is out, merlin can step up to the plate with gundo filling in and vice versa

For me 2 names is tough because of our second choice keeper. For that reason I'll go for 2 outfield players, KDB and Merlin because without them we don't create. As well as having their own moments of personal glory, they play others into a game like no one else can.

Big Dave and Prince Kev. Eddie is important but will be an automatic pick as there is no alternative.

For me the middle 3 have been what has set us apart all season. To name 2 over the other would be very unfair. The last month Gundo has added some competition as he’s gotten fit and comfortable but until then anytime one was out we lacked massively.
Also simply because of how disastrous most of bravos spell has been you can’t really deny Ed is essential.
Tracking back is overrated.

Prob KDB and Fern for me
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Silva and KDB.
If they're on form the rest of the team could be made up from the fans and we'd still win.

Based on what we've seen this season then it's a no brained, Ederson and DeBruyne.
Silva and Otamendi are pushing them close though.
