Winning the league

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Must be in a minority as I am not really bothered when we win it, just that we are going to win it. The rags and dippers are going to have all summer for us to take the piss. A simple thrashing of them would suffice for me

With a bit of luck scum and scousers drop points from here to then, so things might already be finished. Focus on winning the league before anything else.

Wouldn't bother me if we had to wait a week or two if we could thump United at our place.
I'd love to totally show them up.
Of course doing that and claiming the title at the same time would be the cherry on the cake.

I'd take that over having the dippers in quarter finals (or spuds for that matter).

Speaking of thumping them at our gaff, there are a lot of rag players who'd need to vacate the pitch like shit off a shovel.

I’m so happy that my honeymoon has been booked and I’m away for the derby

Enjoy the sun and take an eye on that reddit thingy.

This.

It's also a pity that the game at Klanfield didn't last a few minutes longer, as we could have salvaged a draw from that fixture and put the Scousers in their place.

Well you certainly don't have to worry about Spuds! The dippers would worry me far more if it was the final. Beating them over 2 legs doesn't worry me (was 8-4 over 2 legs in the league), a one-off game is far more concerning.

For me personally, the entertainment value will be on a par with winning our first Premier League title. ;)

Think about it, not only winning the Derby that day, completing the domestic double over those Rags cunts, Best team in Manchester Title.

We will also get to taste their salty tears as we become Champions of England pile on the humiliation in front of their fans. What City fan in their right mind would not want that for the Derby.” Dreamland Roy Of The Rovers Stuff”.

There was a time when i only ever saw hard bastards wearing City shirts every day of the week, you had to be tough in those days to put up with all the shit. When I hear opposing fans sing where were you when you were shit, it pisses me off.No other team in England could muster the support we did whilst going up and coming down again quicker than a Yo-Yo. Regularly 31,000 – 33,000 even at our shitest. Newcastle nearly disappeared out of existence on a similar journey.

Never in my wildest dreams as a 20 something young lad did I ever think the Tables would turn. Even now I still get the urge to pinch myself. You see City shirts everywhere now, even saw one on Hollywood Boulevard.

Been amazing journey. Best of it all is it looks like it is going to get even better.

Derby Day bring it on. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

That's a great post.

My home team Werder Bremen played our Arch rivals Hamburg times in a row 2009 just to kick them out of Cup, UEFA Cup and the last championsleague spot of the league that year. Glory days......
One of the games was decide by the ball bumping from a paperball into the net, thrown on the pitch by HSV supporters after a Choreo,,,,,

When we win the league will directly affect how well we do in the champs league. Everyone else had a winter break. We can rotate and relax in the league if it’s won early,

Juve- League is tight
Barca - should have it won with 2-3 games to spare
Bayern - walking away with it

The other EPL teams will be fighting until the end

It’s important that we are rested and fresh with a fully fit squad to give us every chance of winning it.

I think this is our best ever chance.

I agree with that Crossie. Barcelona look to be in frighteningly good form, but I think we are just as strong.

The danger is that relaxing and heavy rotation can take the edge off and make us lose momentum. It's what happened to Pep's Bayern.

Isn't it March now with April fast approaching as the fixtures go, though?
You may well be right on that Spuds are the Southern bottlers... but Dippers are Nation's bottlers as contemporary means of their h'striy go.
