He did fill in at left back well, a known favourite position of mine. I prefer tall, dark and handsome though. Hoping this deal for Jorgy goes through ASAP

This has been all over social media since Zinch posted it himself orignally. I first saw it on Zinch's Instagram.

Discussion of the news posted by JC in a different thread:

But sounds like he may be staying after turning down Wolves saying he really wants to stay, after we supposedly agreed to a fee with them for £16m.

Pep seems to be experimenting with him a bit as a no. 6, so he might get some time there. We have foreign spots open, especially by not signing Jorginho, so he could stick around as cover for multiple positions, which Pep does like.

He seems to have very good character and a strong sense of humour (a common trait with some in our squad I've noticed) that helps him get along with his teammates.

Would we be able to get a better squad player in for £16m? I doubt it.

I like jacks of all trades and I like players who have a belief in themselves and are prepared to fight for their place. All teams need loyal lads like that. For us that's Delph and the Zinch.

Didn't Liverpool just get a squad player for about 12 Millie?

I don't see him happily filling in as left back or defensive mid if asked to. He's also somewhat an exception, since he had a release clause, which probably means that there's a hefty sign on fee which isn't reported + wages at a totally different scale than Zinchenko.

Zinch's ability to pick a pass in tight quarters is very impressive. I want to see him play more.

He is a tidy footballer but will never be a good defender.
