He showed a fair old bit of pace to get that corner at Villa in the cup, that Micah scored from.

Gary Mason
Lee Crooks
John Foster
Danny Allsop
Chris Killeen

Mason started out playing nearly every game when he burst through. Then went missing, disappeared and ended up playing for Scottish pub teams.

Crooks looked good, should've done more really. Ended up in the army didn't he?

John Foster. Solid right back. Sexy sexy legs, incredible thighs that left young teenage lads like me confused about everything. Earmarked for full England duties but if memory serves me right he was hampered by injuries. He's a copper now. Used to chat with him on Twitter but he suddenly disappeared. Apparently GMP Rochdale weren't happy with him using social media.

Danny Alsop. Got a few games, never really worked out. Same for Killen. Allsop went on to do well in the a league, Killen lead NZ to the world cup.

Probably loads more but they're the first ones who come to mind.

John Foster wow! Remember I had a sticker of him on my wall next to the Peter Beagrie poster when I was a kid.

What's happened to Micah? I know he got injured a couple of years back but I've never heard his name since. Loved that boy. Had dreams of him, Johnson and sturridge leading England to a world cup back in the day. I'm just happy that whatever happens, Meeks managed to get some titles under his belt.

He's been fit but just not in Elephant Mans' plans. Here's an article from a month ago - LINK

I see your Willo Flood and raise you a Gunnar Nielsen. Never conceded a goal in the first team.

Ooh what about that other Scandinavian keeper? Had a double barrelled surname. Played a handful of games early on one season but was shite and was dropped

The 4-3? I can't really recall, I remember he played in that one but I also remember being well inebriated watching it so couldn't tell you details, only that it was the greatest comeback in the history of comebacks.

I'm just thinking now that it's probably Stuhr Ellegard that Fidel was referring to.

Was it against Spurs that he made that unforgetable (for some) save?

Yes, in the 4-3 cup game, a ridiculously brilliant double save.

Jose Angel Pozo - still only 22, and potentially facing relegation to Spain's third tier.

Almeria are 17th in a 22-team league, with the bottom 4 getting relegated. They're level on points with the 19th placed team, and 2 points ahead of 20th (Barcelona B), both of whom have a game in hand over them.

Shame, there was something there, maybe he just lacked the pace and physical ability for the Premier League.

I think he had a fitness issue. Could rarely see out 90 mins due to fatigue

People were raving about him in the eds. Vaguely remember him playing a few games for us when Kun crocked himself, but he looked like a fish out of water. Think his younger brother is now part of our academy

he got a bad injury and seems he hasn't ever fully recovered from it.Either that or he was bang average and was never going to make it.
