Our attacks broke down in just the areas he influences, and he will be the difference this time around.
A side with Silva in there will always be better than a side without him.

And VK will be more assured than Stones was hopefully,
That said, I guess anything can happen

Vinny had a shocker at Anfield in the 4-3 defeat , very unlike him . He has been world class since then and it shows the faith Pep has in him and rightly so .

Vinny didn't play in the 4-3 mate it was Stones and Otamendi at centre backs.

So bad that he didn't even get off the physio's bench...

I think you're thinking of last season, yes? When he had just come back from injury and his mistake led to one of their goals (3-0 from memory).

I think KdB playing deeper next to Fern on Saturday was a dress rehearsal for Wednesday.

Don't forget Dave didn't play against the Dippers in the 4-3.

Don't ever forget.

True, but neither did VVD, we will be better, but their defence will probably be a bit tighter.

Didn't play. Which makes the dippers confidence even stranger. They beat us by a goal at home with our best ever player missing, and all of a sudden they think they're favorites.

Team at Anfield was:
Ed
Walker Stones Otter Delph
Fern (c)
KDB Gundo Sane Sterling
Aguero.

We were without Silva and kompany.
They'll make a big difference IMO.

I'd probably swap Gundo and Stones for the pair.
Bernardo for Sterling and I really don't know at left back.

Jesus will probably start too.

Delph at left back for me if he's fit.

Can and Matip out for them it seems. Which means Lovren at centre back.

Also, apparently Silva, KDB and Fernandinho have played together 25 times this season - won 24, drawn 1.

Left back: I think pace will be vital so Danilo shades it for me over Delph as he is that bit faster.
Centre Forward: I think it will be one of Kun or Jesus. Probably Jesus as Kun is just back from injury. Either will do for me.

Yep. Aguero out for the first leg.

I think Jesus suits us being away. Sterling, sane and Jesus together have been brilliant the few times I've watched them
