Champions League Quarter Final Draw

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

We put 9 goals past them in 2 games this year. They scored 4 vs us, 3 of which were probably the biggest errors we've made all season.

They are great at breaking forward and I always hate playing them. But I feel Pep and the players are going to be extra driven to avenge our one league loss this season. If the players want to be be part of a great team, this is the type of game you make a statement in. And they'll know it.

Bonus points if we make jimmy millions cry.

South Stand Balti wrote:It's so damn inconvenient all of this. We should be talking about when we will win the league and the Derby etc but this has thrown a spanner in the good feeling works. I also wonder at the wisdom of both us and the dippers being given a Derby game in the middle of the chumps league quarters. If the two teams had been kept apart the fixtures are not very helpful for the two English teams to progress.

I beg, utmost sincere, pardon to Your genuine knightly sentiments, mate.

In my capacity of non Brit breed, foreign bandwagoner gloryhunting tourist... temptation is too much to restrain for the sake of Cool Understated gentlemanship.

also, in a slightly less kidding frame of mind, I am convinced that, upon respecting the inherent rules of the relevant game, there is very little, if anything, "inconvenient" in either sporting or bed fun.

please acccept my felt apologies for the harming of Your sentiments, nonetheless ;)

Just looked at the fixture list..... :o :o :o
Were gong to need this break because its going to be hectic and I cant see Pep taking the foot of the gas. He doesn't do loosing.
Sounds crazy after the break in the sun but still we should rest key players in the Everton game ahead of the game at cuntfield.

I couldnt agree more on the Neverton point, She.

and Uefa never fails to prove the nice guys they are by setting our return leg on tue.

once said that... I am genuinely convinced that You don't even deserve the medal of top England's side if You are not capable to show up for 3 consecutive hardcore games in a short week time, moreso after a much usefull resting break.
I think You would agree on my genuine convicement on that is grit what makes English footie the most exciting of all, comes rain or shine in terms of clubs wealth (mean, when Serie A was the richest league, I was still preferring English footie by a great lenght).
And City are most certainly up for job, while Pep will take care to have the boys salivating, comes april wed 4th to tue 10th.

cannot wait.

The only thing I worry about is whether the squad can keep their heads for the second leg if we do win the title in the derby.

By the way, that Everton game feels huge now. It would be such a relief winning that and going into the scouse-rag-scouse-spurs run on a positive note and without having to worry about league points.

All in the space of 14 days.

At least there is minimal travelling involved and by the Spurs game we will hopefully be PL winners and in the CL semis..

I know what you mean but I doubt Pep will allow them to even think about celebrating if we do win the league during the derby, maybe just maybe after the Spurs game assuming we do beat the dippers.

That said i couldn't give a stuff about us beating Spurs i'd quite happily lose that as it would be to the detriment of the rags and the dippers, i'd much rather Spud's finishing 2nd at the expense of both those bunch of wankers.

Fair enough as a worry, but i think the players will all be thinking bigger... this really is the sharp end of the season starting where you would expect all games to be as good as critical. I'd much rather have a series of games where there no chance of a let up in performance mentality... like if we had West Brom or something in the middle of that run. I think the only thing that City have to fear is complacency. On top of our game we can beat anyone.

I really think the players will be relishing this series of games.

Bloody hell, is the draw over already? I thought it went on till Sunday! Good to see the UEFA three have been kept apart again.

BBC report says :'After City's director of football Txiki Begiristain said: "It's going to be a great couple of games," Reds manager Jurgen Klopp added: "I saw his face. He didn't look like it was Christmas.". Button it, Klopp!

They also say 'They are the top two scorers in the Premier League, with City finding the net 85 times in 30 games. Liverpool have scored 68 goals from the same number of matches.'. Pretty close then eh?

Barca, apparently they have unfinished business according to RAWK, they're gutted to get us, they wanted someone with European pedigree...... I kid you not .......

Utter CUNTS, the lot of them, they also want to give our team bus a welcome like they gave Villarreal a few years back.....
