Champions League Quarter Final Draw

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Well just have balls bobbling around in a machine like in the lottery then. Perfectly reasonable way to assure randomness, just don't have a person pick out the balls. As soon as you do that there is the possibility of fixing the draw.

The famous player could still open the ball each time to reveal the team, with the pazzaz factor still there, they just don't get to choose it.

I can see no reason whatsoever for this system to be employed on every draw, throughout the football world, unless they really do want the ability to fix things.

Totally agree with your point of view. It's a no brainer. Which is why the football associations can't do it.

A random number generator sounds very dull. I'm guessing you don't work in the entertainment industry. :o

Just think of the drama. The ex-Spanish or -Italian league star hits the big red button, one of the circulating balls gets trapped and winds its way through a series of tubes, faltering only briefly as it passes behind a short screen for a minion to swap in the desired ball, before landing in front of the ex-Spanish or -Italian league star to open and pass the little piece of paper to the presenter to read and show to the world.

Do you understand how the lotto draws work ?

They have even retaken lottos because balls have been stuck in the contraption. It is also filmed and verified afterwards No sticky fingers in the pie.

I have suggested that they have an ex-player, rag, dipper, Barca, Munich or Madrid in rotation, wearing a wizard costume, waving a wand and pronouncing the draw they want. I think they will go for it.

Lottos are run by football associations?

Can't believe that we're not in the draw for the FA Cup so thought I'd drown my sorrows in the CL quarters.

Oh, how we dreamed.

You could be a very rich man if you have the nerve.....

Fuckin strange how life works out, my best mate of 35 years is a dipper by birth and me a Mancunian neither, of us has the accent due moving away whilst in nappies.

I fucking hate the scouse accent, I associate it with dishonesty and work shy cunts, hence not realising he was a scouser until we became mates. His cousins are complete & utter grade A cunts from the planet CUNT.

I kind of wish that Brexit (which most of the Neanderthal cunts probably ironically voted for) meant English clubs no longer qualified for UCL meaning their 'istree, pedigree etc counted for absolutely fuck all the CUNTS.

So classless they are even arranging a 'special' reception of flares and smoke bombs etc for our team bus like they did to Villarreal a few years back (take a look on YT).

 Superb

Only one problem though.

We're the team from hell that no one wants to draw and if we keep popping up like a jack in box, there will be panic in UEFA.

I also don't think the rags and dippers or any English Clubs are in UEFA's inner circle.

More likely Juventus, AC or Inter Milan and Athletico Madrid.

I think we were drawn against Liverpool to guarantee another English Club out.

Yea I read that shite about Salah saying we are not Superior to other teams blah blah well the table states that we are if they were as good as they spouting off then they would be up there fighting it out with us not 20 odd points behind . Also read an article by Jamie Redknapp stating that they will beat us we need to beat them convincingly in both games to shut them and the rest of the world up. This is reminiscent of 2014 when the whole world thought they were going to win the league

It would be really funny if we go to scousepool and park the bus with the goalie feeding sergio on the counter attack.

I think we must be very careful in this tie.

As I wrote earlier, I am actually quite concerned about it.

This could be Monaco all over again.

Who Pep picks as our centre halves will be key (Otamendi was destroyed by Salah last time) so Vinny and Laporte might be my partnership.

Also, what happens with Mendy's comeback and what's the situation with Delph?

Then we have Raz, especially in the first leg at Anfield. Does he start or might Pep rather go with Bernardo?
