Rashford was woeful. Then the commentator wanked himself off about his performance. Likewise Henderson. Absolute crap.

The rashford propaganda is bizarre to say the least. Total emperor's clothes stuff.

Up until last week or so, he had scored the same amount as ottamendi ffs.
Yet he is ranked ahead of Jesus in most quarters.

I just posted in the kdb salah thread - even in his own team, where he has neither scored or assisted more than martial, he is tipped ahead of him in the ypoty stakes.

It's all a bit weird really.

It's not wierd mate it's just as you say, propaganda. They were saying the same about Henderson last night whereas I thought he just did the normal stuff when facing the play and shit himself when his back was to it. That's not what Southgate is trying to achieve with his Pep type tactics of playing it out from the back.

What has to be remembered is that Holland aren't very good. It's a win, fair enough, but what we seen after the subs wasn't anything near what I'd expect to have seen from England. Henderson et al were garbage and I will confess to be very underwhelmed by it all.

Ps. At least Biddle couldn't wank silly over the Spurs players last night, they just weren't anything special. He still found it hard to mention any City players of course.

Didn't see the game, but on the goal scored, Raheem dragged the defender from his side across to the other post which left space for Lingard.

Lingard was involved in the buildup though, he made a great pass fairly early on. He actually gets more brownie points with me for that than his shot (which the keeper should really have saved).

Apparently Ota was hobbling with a sore calf muscle early on, but he ran it off:

From Sam Lee on twitter last night:
"I don't want to alarm anybody but Otamendi has been feeling his left calf a bit..."
"The warrior that he is, he's holding up ok now. Moving well enough and going up for set-pieces etc. No hint of the slight hobble he had earlier..."
"Apparently Otamendi always has problems with his left calf but it never bothers him *that* much. He seemed to shake it off after the early niggle"

Doubt he'd have even joined them at all if they planned to let him go. Doesn't sound good to me.

A pity Yaya is not playing for Ivory Coast, the games would have helped his fitness in case he needs to sub in sometime.

The cynic in me wondered if he had cried off because he's so lacking in match fitness, he didn't want to damage his reputation/status with the IC fans. Am I being unfair?

Reports saying he was available to play in City's game.
Jose Alvarez Haya on Twitter:
"David Silva won't play against Argentina for personal reasons. He will be available for Manchester City game."
Doesn't sound like anything is amiss.

More likely because he is so bloody brilliant - and was again against Germany - that they'd rather give someone else a go.

Further clarification from this by Sam Lee this morning on twitter:
"David Silva did leave the Spain squad for personal reasons but it had been planned. Spain have got the same understanding with Silva as City have. He played against Germany but he was always going to be allowed to go and spend time with his family, who are doing well, afterwards."
