Sterling might miss two out of three clear cut chances, but he also creates two or three more per game than any other player in our squad due to his brilliant runs. I'd have him in our starting eleven every day of the week.

He will learn from today.
We are a work in progress, building a team. Days like today and last Tuesday is how you learn and grow.

Let us not expect to much to soon.
Will the PL and LC not be enough for a work in progress?

No. He just lacks composure when faced with a clear goal scoring opportunity. He's 23 now and people have been saying these things for years. Maybe by the time he's 29 he might have learned.

Blaming one player, sounds like fucking RatBoy! 2-0 up and we let 3 in, think about it?

Fuck sake, I give up.

So I mis-saw. He didn't miss 3 clearcut chances to put us 3-0 up and change the nature of the game in the first half?

It didn't need changing, we were 2-0 up.

City need another forward a killer a ruthless finisher, our wasteful achiles is still alive and missing chances and include Sergio in that. You have defensive worries if you take the chances 4/5/6 - 0 should have been the HT score. Pretty sure Pep will have seen his arse with Rash, over that. Mad as hatter but Balo walks them in 1v1 De Gay did nit have to save them and the ine in the second half he had the goal to the left and hit the right post where the keeper was standing it defied logic and confirmed for every goal we miss 3/4 sitters not even hard chances.

His footwork for the chances were so so sloppy.

His technique just goes out the window when he has time to think.

That's what people fail to mention when talking about his missed chances. We've won games because of his workrate in the past.

Feelings still raw woke up this am thought it was a nightmare but it wasn’t so move on . I said earlier we had two world class strikers on the bench it wasn’t Raz fault he was put where he was . I’m a big fan of him he is a great player but come on his finishing to chances ratio is atrocious. Sergio or Jesus would have finished at least one of them chances

I dont think he has but ill say this , Id have just about anyone in our team one on one with the keeper before Sterling.

Sterling deserves huge criticism for missing such wonderful chances yesterday. Martin Atkinson and he mainly responsible for our loss. It’s not the first time. Remember Burnley? He’s infuriating because he’s scored a fair few and responsible for a good number of assists. You’d like to think Pep would go over the misses with him and improve his finishing technique. Eyes on the ball, don’t lean back etc. Another winger/striker will be coming next season and if he doesn’t improve he’ll struggle to make the starting 11 in big matches which would be more than a shame.

If we get anyone else in his position I’d like that Rodriguez from Real.

That doesn’t alter the fact he’s missed some shockers in important matches.

And so have most of them. Dave, Sergio et Al have all missed chances but sometimes they take them when it's important, just like Raheem.

Twice the player since Pep took over.

Missed the chances yesterday , but always willing and never gives up .

Love his attitude and his goals have won us some games this season.

He gets enough stick from all the wankers/media in the country as it is.

F***inh love him and he would be in the team every week for me.

Feyenoord, Huddersfield, Southampton - what links all three this season?

That’s why I can forgive Sterling and failsworthblue is spot on there’s enough fuckers hating him across the country without us joining in.
