is, even though he's won so much, still a relatively young coach. Will he learn and adapt or stay so stubbornly attached to his 'way'?

At least he should now understand why we boo the uefa anthem and why we wanted to win the derby so much.

I'm not going to blame this on Pep.

We came out as well as any team in the world could have and played Liverpool off the pitch for 45 mins. UEFA weren't having it though.

Imagine the boost a goal before halftime would've given us. We were robbed across both legs.

I wonder if he genuinely feels embarrassed for telling us not to boo it now.

I’d have a massive amount of respect for him if he comes out tonight and says “that’s why the fans boo. I understand now”.

Come on let's not question him.

Someone hit the nail on the head when they said we need to create 25 chances to score. It's not good enough from the players on the pitch.

Sane offside all game
Kev what does he actually do
Jesus looks crap
Raheem can't finish a sentence
Otter is an accident waiting to happen
Ed lost his mojo

There is more but if the players from mid season were playing we'd put the dippers to the sword.

I don't think it's peps fault tbh as we've hammered everyone else this season.

Also the ref had a huge say over the past three games. Cheating fuckers.

Why did he change the formation second half? It looked like a back four.
I wasn’t at all pleased when I saw we were playing three at the back first half, but it was working.
We let them back into the game.

I love how he wants us to play and it has been good mostly but he makes some strange decisions.

He’s as much to blame for the last three games as the players and don’t underestimate the effect losing again to Spuds could have on this team.

I thought half our team looked like they didn’t have the belief we could do this second half, even before they scored.

Silva looked jaded and we do not have many more leaders on the pitch when his levels drop.

I think Pep needs to look at the character of players he puts in his system. We have a few weak minds out there.

I don’t know if he’ll learn. I think he did learn from last year so you’d have to hope the answer is yes, he will learn more going into next season.

Pep needs to forget about this game and work on our defending for Saturday night.
That's the immediate concern now some of the mistakes at the back are not acceptable for this level.
Otamendi will be blamed for the first goal but just take a look at what Laporte does.
It's mind boggling.

It was changing things that fucked us.

Fuck pep

Fuck the tourists

Fuck blues giving up

Fuck the new players having no fight

Fuck our fans letting scousers take the piss fobbing off in our ends. A flare went off in the East stand. Should have been stabbed. Like I'd expect in the kop.

When dinho Silva Serge n kills go who has the right mentality ?

keV, that's it.

Leroy n walker were piss poor.

I'm.so angry cos they looked not arsed.

Dinho rallied the old guard. He was the only one that played a significant amount of the game.

Pep needs to say something to make us warm to him.n stop talking shit about us, the paying fans, Barcelona and the like.

His beloved best team that ever lived just went out to Edinburgh dzekos Roma, and currently pellers is a more successful city manager.

The players (and perhaps manager) need to stop believing their hype

The way we play has taken its toll. I think the players are burnt out. 3 massive games within a week has sapped so much energy out. The first one against the potato dippers didn't help and put us on the back foot. Write Pep off at your own peril. I believe we are short on 3 great players and one world class. This set back will push us on next season to go out and address the issues with a good transfer window. We were unlucky to get benefit scroungers because of the way we play it suited them perfectly. I'll guarantee you they will lose to a team like Roma because they can't handle big target men. It's either we change how we play and turn conservative but we'll have to change the current players to suit thst system or carry on how we are but bare in mind of the draw backs. The solution is to address the issues with better or additional players over the summer to fit the system and work on plan b. Pep has flaws, sometimes I feel like choking him but I believe he will take us forward next season, he seems to learn from his mistakes and improve, well I bloody hope so.

Refs are shit, fooling ourselves though, blaming that on us being eliminated. The way we concede in Big games we are never going to win fuck all in Europe against the Big Guns. We don’t just concede we literally capitulate.

It is embarrassing watching the Keeper flap about in his area like a Pigeon with a broken Wing, defenders continuously slipping on their arse, or running in to each other. Nothing wrong with Ederson distribution. That is excellent. I think he has seen the Ball fly past him on a Par with Bravo stats from last season, in the last 3 games.

Said in the match thread Pep has only ever won 4 times in 25 away Knockout Champions League games. That is not just bad luck. There is something fundamentally wrong with the way he sets his sides up. Is it arrogance, naivety, or a bit of both ?

In 2 seasons after hundreds of millions spent, Guardiola has yet to reach the Semi - Finals and emulate his predecessor Pellegrini in the Champions League. That is a fact. Apparently this is the competition our owners prioritize above everything else. The reason we threw the chance of an FA Cup Semi-Final. And the reason we benched our best players for 75 minutes in a Derby we could have, and should have won by half time. making history winning the League in record time.

Personally I would be happy winning the League every year, I couldn’t really give a shit about a competition we have no chance of winning yet. If it hadn’t been Liverpool I wouldt have been arsed at all.I am more bothered our manager didn’t see how much Saturday Derby meant to us supporters, not playing any striker until late in the second half. Noticed tonight he didn’t bring Kun on until it was all but over. Might as well have started him in the Derby and we would already be Champions.

I feel like these last 3 results are all on him. ;) ;) ;) ;)

If he says this,he will take a step closer to getting what he wants from us.
If Pep and the fans are rowing together, if our fans can be loud and proud and vocally defiant when needed, that will help us somewhat.

I think he is the best manager in the world. But ...

He failed to win anything european without Messi and that will always be pointed out. As the manager of Bayern, he really managed to fuck things in the semis with weird tactics against Barcelona or Real, or even Atletico two years ago. In every single of these games, he fucked up.

Here it was even worst, with Monaco last year and now + the incredible decisions against him.

I don't know about Bayern, but at Monaco last year and in the last 3 matches it has been the officials that have shafted us. We would not have lost those matches without dodgy referee decisions.

This season is done for me. Winning the PL will be an anticlimax after Saturday's capitulation and the CL can go its own corrupt way for all I care.

But what do we need for next season to be successful in the big games and on the big stage?

Stats from our last three games, as seen by a worldwide audience..

Liverpool: 9 shots, 5 on target, 3 goals
City: 11 shots, 0 on target, 0 goals

City: 20 shots, 6 on target, 2 goals
United: 5 shots, 4 on target, 3 goals

City: 20 shots, 3 on target, 1 goal
Liverpool: 5 shots, 3 on target, 2 goals

In total...

City: 51 shots, 9 on target, 3 goals
Oppo: 19 shots, 12 on target, 8 goals

Is it that we don't take our chances or that we concede/capitulate too easily?

It's quite clear what we need if we are to compete at the business end of the season against top teams: a natural finisher a la Messi/Ronaldo/Salah/Kane; and a CB who can command a defence. Without these Guardiola will continue to fail in the top games as he has done ever since he left Messi behind.

8 goals if the two offside goals and three penalties had been going Ben, as they should have been.

Doesn’t look that bad really.
