u.s. preseason tour

Postby Nigels Tackle » Tue Apr 17, 2018 3:16 pm

not sure if covered elsewhere?

vs dortmund in chicago 20/7
vs liverpool in ny 25/7
vs bayern in miami 28/7

with world cup not finishing until 15/7 our us based fans are likely to get short changed in these games...

Very pleased with this news!

Missed the last time, including a chance to meet Silva & Dzeko.

True. Although wonder if Kun is selected for Argentina.

How long do clubs usually give after summer international competitions? 2-3 weeks?

the NY game would be 10 days after. Semis are 10-11 July, so that's a 2 week break and the quarters 6-7 July which would be about 3 weeks.

Players for Spain, Germany, Brazil (I dunno about Argentina), Belgium, France most at risk, unless you think England gets that far.

I may have to root for them all to get knocked out early...lol

Group phase knockouts surely will play those games.

Even if they all get knocked early they'll be given holiday time before rejoining the squad, sorry Prezkie

I can't see any of those who are selected for the national squads joining up till the US tour is well and truly over.

It is a bugger for our state side fans including my cousin who lives in Miami, that said he did get to last year's games as he has an extremely flexible job. He's also managed to get home to ETIHAD a few times this season when on business in Europe.

It's not like we've even got some Dutch or Italians, it really will be youth and fringe.

Maybe Danilo and laporte

Mate, don't rattle his bottle and wake him up (unoticed since we won the league I think).
