disappointing if this comes to pass - Zaha would be a better fit if Hazard turned us down
I would rather Isco if we’re just picking.

I don't think he counts as a forward but yeah why not?

I'd be happy with a few City friendly manages who do that and also roll over every time we meet á la the baconface cronies.

I think pep might use Mahrez in the midfield 3 if he does sign so still space for another goal scorer although i hope it's not Zaha

Out of Chelsea I’d only take 3 players - Hazard, Christensen and Kante.
Out of those I think Hazard would be a starter, but I think there is still questions about his attitude at times. Great player but if his attitude went bad he can sit in the stands until it improves.
Kante would be able to alternate with Fernandinho and I think Christensen would be an automatic starter. I think he’s amazing.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

really not feeling Mahrez. seems like a poor attitude that would disrupt our squad.
but i trust Pep.

poor attitude??
his reaction to the the aborted jan transfer window was understandable... he finished the season very strongly for leicester... surrounded by better players, he will be fucking immense.

I can't make my mind up about Mahrez, then again he's unpredictable and capable of unlocking tight defences. Probably the kind of player you need in games against the dippers.

would make sense.
Bayern wanna replace Vidal with Goretzka. Ancelotti--Vidal's former manager--has just taken over in Naples.

You think? Mahrez is a more complete player, was the best player in the PL on a title winning side and in particular is a far more clinical finisher than Zaha, who I was impressive this season, but we need that more than anything else up front.
I am very much in support of signing Mahrez, and the idea that we just wanted him at the last minute in January goes against everything we know about City and how we scout players. We have one of the best, and most comprehensive scouting teams in the the world. We surely had him on our list after Sanchez, as they are similar, but when that fell through our backup plan went into effect swiftly hoping to get him before the window closed.

This. It's clearly why we are looking to sign him.
With no Sergio we were relying on young players to be the main scoring threat. That's why we wanted Alexis as well and why Zaha is not as high on the list.

As I posted a few days ago, some local news were that we are getting Emre Can, and not Juve.
Not a good deal, imho, with his injury record.

Zaha has more pace, muscle and energy than Mahrez - which is needed to be the first defender in Pep's systems
