Mase, first Aleks and now Nico. Sorry man.

CBs apparently Stones, Laporte, Garcia, Kompany, and a new signing.

Absolute joke if we let him go. Especially with if likely that Komps will go.

Why is it a joke? If it's TRUE it seems Garcia is being promoted and nico replaced by a new signing.

Because "it's a squad game" as we keep getting told. He was our best defender last season and hasn't done anything wrong this season.

"It's a squad game"

It's still not a joke if he wants to leave himself due to lack of playing time.
If a player wants to go its probably best if he is allowed leave. I would like him to stay.

According to Pep Nico is top choice for matches where he plans for aerial duels. If so I imagine thats the type of player we're going to bring in? De Ligt? I cannot see us spending that much though; not when we've got Stones and Laporte.

What more is there to know?

One thing of not is he's not as short as our other 6s and 8s whilst strong in the air (he's 6'3"), which I can see helping us on corners where we've struggled this season.

While Dinho is good with his head, he's not really that tall.

but what I mostly read is some want to compare him to Busquets.

Here's an article from Rik Sharma (La Liga writer for Goal) a few weeks ago:

https://www.goal.com/en/news/who-is-man ... ksdqw9sizz

“He’s a very high-level player, with huge quality,” said Albert Celades, the former Spain Under-21s coach.

“Beyond his physicality, he’s really good in the defensive phase and in individual battles, tactically too, he is very good.”

“Above all, what stands out is that he has the ability to play quickly with both feet, perfect for bringing the ball out when under pressure,” continued Celades.

“Things which are difficult, he makes look simple. In the same way as Busquets, he has the intuition to position himself well, to know where to go, where the game is going to go for him to steal the ball back.”

Rodri is not shy of a tackle, but he is not a midfield destroyer. Like Busquets, he prevails with brain more often than brawn.

I actually think both have got something good enough about them

What about Declan Rice instead of Antonio?

I wouldn't be surprised to see us linked with Rice this summer, he did well for England in midfield. (not seen too many of his club games though)

This will be an interesting window. But cant see a lot of business done. Reckon Sane will stay as will Gundogan.
We have to get a midfielder and the eternal never ending left back situation needs to be revisited again.

That will be about it.

If we lose Danilo, we are going to need 2 full-backs - cannot rely on Mendy and Walker is not good enough in possession. Need to source Fern's replacement and get another striker

Looks like we will rely on Mendy and Zinchenko at LB. We may need two midfielders. One to replace Gundogan, one to be Fernandinho’s successor. Wen Bissaka would be a shout if Danilo leaves.

There probably wont be any major changes at LB, although we need to. We will take the risk on Mendy again and he will stay.
Just one 'big' signing this summer, a midfielder, cant see a lot more.

Positions where I don’t feel we have two good choices. Goalkeeper, Defensive Mid, Striker.

Yes if you fancy him playing for 6-8 weeks with Ederson out. Do you?
