Swp scoring the 4th v United.
Fowler scoring the 3rd United.
Yaya semi and final.
Jesus this past week.

6-1 v Norwich and the bellief we were back in it.
Yaya screamer at Wembley v Sunderland.
Vinny scoring at Wembley this season.
Barton screamer v charlton (was there)
Samaras debut goal (was there)
Taking the lead v Chelsea last season (had my wife and kid with me)
Munich derby
6-0 v Pompey
Many many more but these spring to mind

Dickov goal set the wheels in motion that led us here. Considering our financial state back then we probably wouldn't have club anymore. Not only key but absolutely defining moment in pur history. Nothing will EVER beat that.

One that stands out for me is Vinny’s header against the scum in 2012. They didn’t have a shot on target that day.

Also, Yaya’s first goal away to Newcastle same season.

Seems like a lifetime ago now.

Half the stadium missed Vinny's goal, too busy buying chips.

Micah's last minute header against against Villa.
Also Lee Croft's almost superhuman effort to win the corner in the first place.

And of course, Micah's subsequent interview.

Musampa against Liverpool is up there for me.

Gillingham has to be way way up there.The 5.1, the 6.1 and then going onto winning the league on goal difference.

Yaya's semi final goal was awesome , his winner against Stoke , his goal against Sunderland in the final. Let's face it Yaya has a few on his own!

And now we have the centurion season and the amazing final goal to get us there.

Great to be a blue and how lucky we are now.

One quirky one that I still have great memories of
Is the full members cup v Chavs we lost
But what a come back . Chavs walking out of Wembley like they had lost City fans chanting

There was a mob of us back in Manc, mostly Blues , a few Reds. We stuck together through thick and thin, all damn good mates.
Drank together, laughed together , went to parties, had curries together, etc. etc. . . . as you do. The week before a derby , and the week after, we tore each other a new one , so be it , we were still mates, good mates. One of the Reds was a DIEHARD ; player/manager of one of the local Sunday morning pub teams ; wrote a letter of application to Edwards for the Swamp job when Sexton got sacked, and was SERIOUSLY expecting to get interviewed(...yes, he was beyond help!!).

For TWO OR THREE WEEKS after the 5-1 , he NEVER showed his face down the boozer.
Then, one Friday, he turned up. We were sat there -
US : "Ok lads , not a word , NOT A WORD!" .
Comes over to our table -
RED: "Hi lads , who's having another ? "
US : "yeah , yeah , yeah - I'll have another"
Off to the bar , gets about 5 or 6 pints in , comes back , sits down .

"5-1!, 5-1! , 5-1!, 5-1!" . . . . . ad nauseaum

RED: "Bastards ! P**ks ! F* c*s , the lot of you ! A*holes ! B*ds let me get * f* round in first ! TWATS! I need to find new friends !"

I got a lot of satisfaction from Sterlings 5 last minute winners this season to keep the winning run going. The more it happened the more the squad believed we would win each game and just had to keep playing it our way. Very pleasing.

Reading others comments I wonder at what point we were the most in danger of actually going under, was it 1999 or 2007 when Thaskin was begging Wardle for a million to pay wages pre take over (real take over)?

For me it was the 2 trips to Wembley

The craziness of the day vs Gillingham I don't think could even be topped by 2012 because of the bleak reality that we all knew awaited the club as we hit that 90th minute.

Then 12 years later, Yaya vs the rags showed we had the balls for the big occasion.......I fucked off on holiday instead of going to the final as the FA Cup final could only be an anticlimax after the Atmosphere of the semi-final. We arrived in the big time that day, and everyone there that day knew it.

My understanding is that in 2007 we were in real danger of going into administration, whereas in 1999 it was a more of a case that we would have to start living within our means and would likely have been stuck in the lower divisions had we not won those playoffs.

2018 we are top of the mountain .

Shouldn't have been playing Gillingham anyway. That moment just gives these idiots another chance to say "only 20 years ago Manchester City were playing third tier football". As they often do. So whilst I went through the ceiling at the time, it isn't something I fondly remember

I agree with all of the posts above. Lots of brilliant memories. So I won't repeat what everyone else has said.

Not necessarily my favourite, but a great memory for me was Sven's first game when we won 2-0 away at West Ham. We had all these new signings and we were magnificent that day. It was topped off by Onohua's incredible run to set up our second goal.

To me this was the start of when our fortunes began to change. We had a great start to the season and even though it faded out, it led to us being taken over by Sheikh Mansour.

I was still living in the UK at the time so was at this game. Great weather, great performance, great result.
