Enjoyed that game and had (was hoping) a Belgium win. My main thoughts were a team event v Neymar, who is that far up his arse that he's just noticed he needs a filling. Hazard is similar but reakises that he needs his team mates.

Belgium were excellent and the change in shape really does suit their players. Martinez at least realised that Kev needs to be further forward and has now accommodated him for the quality he is. It must've been a hard decision as now he's outshining Hazard. Obviously didn't outshone Lukaku as he got his own slot at halftime, and although he did well, he wasn't a spot on Kev.

Looking forward to the next game, just need to check who it is ;-)

No doubt at all that Lukaku was a real threat and played well. Must be really scary to play against with his pace and power. But he actually messed up quite a lot and didn't deliver anything really key. But for looking good and threatening he is getting effectively rave reviews because the focus is only on the positive.

Turn next to Sterling. He also scares defenders , makes great runs to create space and openings for others, runs all day long , defends well from the front but because he hasn't scored and makes some mistakes he is deemed ( by some sheep) to be crap and should be dropped for Rashford the roadrunner

based on that performance and watching the France game out of the corner of my eye at work, if England venture as far as the final I can see it being against Belgium

I don't know about you mate but I noticed a real shift for Sterling after the last couple of games. Yes, there's still the sheep out there but the majority (minor of course) are now seeing what Sterling brings. Listening to TS there was some numbskull who phones in to proclaim the usual media bollox only for all the pundits to say he was talking shit. This maybe a reflection of what Matt Lawton got for his disgraceful piece about Sterling after our prestigious win in the last round and they are feeling a little vulnerable, but either way, the clamour against Sterling seems to have subsided, for now.

I'm not daft enough to think that they won't go all out if we lose tomorrow, but at least for now, they are having to think.

I'd agree, but there's no guarantees. Belgium look to be able to step it up when needed but France don't seem to have got out of second gear yet.

For us, we have gotten further than most would imagine, maybe because our heart has outshone our lack of a decent creative midfielder. To get further we will have to show that courage again, allowing the forwards to dictate the game and counting on the defensive side to pull us out of the shit. We are the highest ranked on our side of the draw though, if that's any consultation.

Belgium could be really screwed when it comes to fullbacks. they already have no left back which is why Carrasco and now Chadli have been played as wingbacks but now Meunier is suspended. gonna be interesting since one of them will come up against Mbappe.

Stephen Jordan once had Ronaldo in his back pocket mate, anything can happen.

I'd normally agree but I've got Croatia in sweep and banking on them coming third
