Watching the highlights, never a penalty. And why wasn't he offside for the second goal ? it was the same forward play sequence . Which just goes to show how officials have screwed the offside rule, He was clearly in an offside position when the ball was played forward.

never ever a pen

My point about the offside is that his position at the build up to the shot , would have resulted in an offside according to the original rule. He was able to use that to gis advantage coming back onside, where it was difficult to mark him , the defenders watching the play and not him coming back . So if these gits that rule the game want to make it overly complicated, well ...
When the pass was played foreward he was miles offside.

It was a fantastic game to watch. Spain played the better football but with Ronaldo playing he usually steps up.

I thought David Silva was excellent. Involved in everything good Spain did and a key part of the second and third goals.

Was out last night and had to do with the highlights and what a great game; it had everything. Spain were obviously the better team but Portugal played them perfectly, showing how to hurt them n the break.

Interesting to see Tranny getting that penalty, especially with VAR. Yes, there was contact but very minimal and very much looked like he was playing for it.

However, that second from Tranny was a scorcher, burning the fingers of the donut thief. Surely De Gear has concussion and will be laying a wreath for the much maligned Karius. Oh I laughed.

This game has woken me up. Loved it!

Merlin played very well playing in quite an advanced role. I'd say 8.5 out of 10. Bernard played wide right. He had a couple of classy touches but was not very involved. Spain were much the better team so not much possession for him to work with. He was pulled off in the second half. 6 out of 10.

Mooy running the game and our wingbacks have settled after a nervy start. If we can keep them at 0-0 until 70 minutes we'll unleash Arzanni and fuck them up.
