Still fancy them to win it but I don’t think this is football that’ll win a World Cup.

It’s s confusing mish mash of a system, with too many players looking more afraid to make s mistake than to play freely.
I think that’s a consequence of your constant negative media.

The players aren't good enough. We don't have any decent midfielders. I think they all try hard enough and played very freely at first but we're unable to take advantage of such a good spell due to lack of quality.

Honestly you’d swear one of the worlds most accomplished players just came on the way the commentators are banging on about Rashford. One of them just came out with “they need to get the ball to Rashford” seriously it’s funny.

That twerp Lingard is just solid useless, about all he’s good at is going to ground.

Because at the club you have Guardiola, Maureen, Poche and for England you have Basil, the World's Great Mouse Detective.

As poor as we werre for the last hour Tunisia got exactly what they deserved. Constant niggly fouls and time wasting. I could understand it if they were crap but they are the best team in Africa and ranked 21st in the world. Not sure where England are ranked but are pretty average.

Very much this.
I thought England in the first 15 minutes or more, showed they can play quick one and two touch football. You were a bit unfortunate not to be 3-0 up except for bad finishing that looked a bit like nerves to me.
Fear of a mistake.

I don’t think this system of Southgate’s will stand up against any team that can pass through the middle.

I’m not even sure what the system is.
Early on it looked great with plenty of harrying of the opponent when you lost the ball and quick movement of the ball when you won it high up the park. That didn’t last though.

This is first game though. Great result. A confidence booster for some.
I’d worry about the midfield a bit though. As some have said. You don’t have the players. Hendetrson was alright but he’s hit and miss and won’t run a game on his own.
But you might be surprised what the confidence boost of a few early chances being converted could do for you.

You need a step up in performance against Belgium. They’ll pick holes through that defence but can be flakey.

And Rashford changed the game by being direct. Showed about five clips of him running with the ball and not one of them ended with him getting a shot or cross away

Not gonna lie spent the whole game waiting for sterling to do something good and shut everyone up and he didn’t produce it. His card was always marked for 60 mins. Walker was poor too. That said lingard missed several sitters, Henderson slowed us down all game and maguire looked like rugby player switching sports for a laugh. Overall happy to win after a poor 2nd half.
Tracking back is overrated.
