Got a bit annoyed when the commentator was trying to suggest behrami had kicked Neymar all game. Actually he done a blinding job on him and won the ball almost every time, and was Swiss' man of match for me. Media believing the hype with Neymar.

Basically our history after '66 , looking forward to this especially the politics of the first 15 years or so as I was born in '66 (was actually due on the day of the final!!!)

I'm glad they showed the Gerrard and Carragher penalty misses which took us out of the 2006 World Cup. It's the first time I've seen them shown on TV in 12 years, almost as if it never happened.

One has winning menality and medals to go with it and one won fuckall. Who would you pick? Did they miss Jesus dribbles during the game? What did superstar Neymar exactly do throughout the game, should he be dropped? Those fucking scouse loving cretins journalists should give it a rest

What with Jogi Loews arrogance and the selfishness of Neymar and Coutinho, these two top teams are not doing themselves a favour. The Germans look clueless, the Brazilians are just nuts. The one team insists the team is all that matters, and chokes individual flair out of the team game and the other let's egos rule the roost.

Turning out nice for a change.

Who is it? Don't want to click link.

Gabby scored 7 in 10 in qualifiers, let's drop him for the tournament, sound logic.

Especially his final comment "...if England get beat by Panama..". You get the feeling the press would love it if that happened.

Yea, I'm slowly warming to it :D

It wasn't the best of games, and I really can't see Sweden getting out of the group, but it's nice that we can keep dreaming for another round at least.

Not sure if I heard correctly, but I thought the commentator said it's the 11th penalty awarded so far this tournament.

We'll soon get to the point where VAR is used to give 2-3 penalties a game on average. Although this was a fair-and-square penalty, I doubt it would have been given on 4 out of 5 occasions, as from every angle in real time, it looked as if the SK player made contact with the ball.

I don't know about everyone else on here, but the game being so penalty-reliant (if it becomes so) will really reduce my interest in it. While the technology's new, and people may be finding it an exciting technological advancement now, there'll be a point in the near future where the novelty will wear off, and all we'll be left with is a game where most of the goals actually come from penalties.

Either that BiB or players will stop making risky challenges in the box for fear of VAR and we'll get more goals from open play.

Hmm, fair point, I guess, but would they make even riskier challenges outside the box to counteract the risk of in-box VAR scrutiny? Also, I just checked, and the 11 pens stat is incorrect from what I can see - it's been 8 so far, leading to 6 goals (out of 26 so far in the tournament - 23%, compared to a seasonal average of roughly 7% for the Prem between 2001-02 and 2011-12).
