I think they had to liaise with all the league's to negotiate a compensation package for them. Look at it though, the PL will no doubt restart their games on Christmas Eve, telling us we've got a wonderful Christmas package booked for us, then cram an extra game over the period while all the players are fucked.

So usually teams get together a month before all of it, so around Halloween.

They've already said that they'll shift the start and end of the season left and right to adjust for the month away. I'd suggest a week either side and then cram in the extra games during the rest of the season. There's gonna be some weary legs.

The league finished on 13 may, while the WC started on 14 june. So one month and a day. By this logic, 20 oct?
