Say what we want to say about this being the reserve squad.

We still play some entertaining football regardless.

We've had the better chances other than the one offside long ball.

Who's that on the right, at right back?

He looks almost 2 stone overweight.

i love Ian Darke: "Zinchenko in an unfamiliar central midfield role". um, no. that's his position.

I guess you will have to literally injure someone to get a card in this one. Sheesh.

P.S. Harrison doing pretty well, actually.

Clear pen. So much for better defending from Zinchenko lol. Pulisic schooled him but Douglas Luiz should not have been looking for a foul, just play.

Like I worried about. Practically have to injure someone to get a card. Mahrez the target.

There's where Luiz can do well. Tracked back well there to prevent an opportunity.

Pep keeping Laporte out entirely. hopefully he's not yet another big money bust at CB

Foden and Diaz nearly invisible after the first few minutes, but we don't have the buildup play/players out there to really get them opportunites.

Garcia (hardly noticed him) and Luiz need to do more.

Sane out as well though.

They know the system. Mahrez in to get accustomed to it.

Clearly this is about letting him take a look at fringe players or placing them on display for potential sale.

Interesting though that Hart not playing....yet.

Sane is on the bench at least though. Laporte is out entirely.

Good strike on that free kick from Mahrez.

Didn't do much, but he didn't get many chances if at all to do much either.

Diaz, to me, has given the ball away every time he tried to dribble. Am I imagining that?

Foden barely touched the ball.

Denayer trying to be Stones bringing the ball out from the back regularly and actually looked pretty decent.

Douglas Luiz had some moments - good touch and positioning - to me but his mental lapse getting upset led to the goal.

First few minutes we looked threatening. Then mixed bag, they scored (Pulisic did well) and they looked a bit better after.

All of the attacks have come up the left side.

Zinchenko had one good defensive play and 2 terrible ones, one that led to the pen.

We had practically no attack the last 30 minutes it seemed.

Bravo actually had one amazing Ederson-esque pass, btw, early on.

classic pre season game with a scratch team. Can't read a lot into anything nuy I always worry that Diaz has trouble getting into games in the first half but tends to come stronger in the 2nd.

Same here with Foden really. Done a few little bits well but just needs to be more involved in linking play, finding space.
