Had an injury for at least the first half of last season and by the end hadn't played that many games but did get a look at the wing back role in the EDS. Got some great attributes for that role.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him in the CS next weekend with Walker and Danilo just coming back from their holidays this week.

Tour over with the squad having landed back in Manchester. Mahrez wearing a protective boot and on crutches.

So, having just read a recent article about music in the dressing rooms ( comparison with Gullit telling Pearce to shut the punk music up and Peps approach), does it mean the crowd has to sing Sade's "Smooth operator" as well as "Gladys Ola".

Those sure are short and sweet.

Saw some including Nmecha's shot off the bar, and of course prior to that goal from Bayern we were playing them off the park.

I think we will have a far weaker side out with a bunch of the players from the tour, and maybe even for the Arsenal game.

Can see us actually losing both.

And of course, Mahrez who is NEVER injured (on record once with Leicester) is injured already.

Not sure how long he will be out (ankle) but usually a minimum of a few weeks right?

This hurts our start to the season further as he was to help cover so many others late back from WC.

I get why we do it but the tour damages the pre season especially in a World Cup year. It feels more like a “survive it” experience.

It’s not like we need the money is it?

I say save the far away tours for non international summer.

Who cares ?Mahrez being injured solves Pep a really big problem in the first few weeks . "There you go raza, prove to Mr Mahrez that you are the number one , here on the right ", now Sterling is not under any pressure to fcuk up in front of goal.
