His touch with the outside of his foot to bring the ball out of the air was insanely good. I'm trying to find a clip of it. Diaz also played very well when he came on, but Phil seems to have an unreal calmness about him when he plays.

https://streamable.com/kc5arI was nervous going into this game that we didn't have enough time with everyone together in preseason, but looks like we never stopped from last year.
A special mention to how well Stones did as a defensive midfielder. I can see him doing a reverse Kompany; he's great on the ball, comfortable playing when facing his own goal, and it's not as big a deal to fuck up in midfield as a defender. 3 center backs, with Stones playing in front of the other 2 could work very well for us this year.
