Is Merlin back in training? Not sure he’d start over Bernardo at the moment.

Mahrez Bernardo KDB Sane
Aguero
or Jesus in for KDB

So his outstanding 90 minute performance on Sunday doesn't help you answer that question then?

Not really.

Because we've potentially got 29 matches over the next 20 weeks. Playing pretty much 1.5 competitive matches per week takes time to get back used to when you're returning from a long-term injury. I'm not sure 'lasting 90 minutes' in what is essentially a pre-season friendly is as good an indicator of that as either statements or interviews from the club or player would be.
We've also had a recent history of the manager saying things along the line of 'It's good that Player X has been able to make it through 90 minutes, but there's still a long way to go for him to be back playing week-in, week-out' when someone's returned from injury, so I was wondering whether any comment along those lines (or otherwise) had been made in the wake of the match.
