Sterling for me. What a fantastic young player we have that never goes missing when the going gets tough.

I think I'm going with the current cincensus, worked his arse off, caused them lots of problems and a goal to boot.

Aymeric for me . Some great stops and defending today plus accomplished passing out from the back . We were well below our best today but a clean sheet gave us the platform to win the game . Stones was good again aswell .
Not really here
Fuck VAR

Laporte for me. Razza deserves a mention too, causing problems on the left and centrally.

Laporte got my vote. Though Sterling could just as easily have got it. But Laporte just shaded it as he not only looked good with Stones, he also covered for Mendy quite a lot

Sky’s match ratings had Mendy as 7 and Stones and Laporte on 6.
Proof they don’t even watch the game

Mendy had a shocker 1st half but in the 2nd half when he left central midfield / false 9 / right wing and went to actually playing at left back he had a very decent half. Got a very good assist for Bernards goal.

Sterling for me. That said stones and Laporte looked good and at times so did fern.
Tracking back is overrated.

Stones for me. He didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

As much motm as any of the defenders imo. Didn’t put a foot wrong and as usual kept our motor running

I voted Sterling because I think he just shaved it due to his first half performance.
But Stones was a very close second, and I'm really surprised he's only got one vote.
