The Premier League can't have been too happy with the fact that the logo of one of their main competitors (debatable) in the sports entertainment industry was still on display with millions and millions of viewers watching the game on the telly.

True Nooly. Shambles is an apt description. It had to mess with the players too.

That is an absolutely sublime photograph. It says "This was what football was like in the 1960s" in so many ways. Simple kit, no real advertising except for local firms, players who just got on with it, simple kit with just a badge, lovely piece of action and you just know the crowd is supping gallons of Bovril on a freezing Manchester afternoon. Gonna get a print of that I think.

It's reported in the papers today that Spurs have had to borrow another £237m to cover the increased costs of the stadium and forecast their net debt will rise to £600m. Shame.
Oh, and they hope to have it ready for the rags in January.

Meanwhile UEFA are weighing up a massive fine for the state of the Wembley pitch ahead of their CL game next week.

Only 7 months late and £237 m over budget then ? It really is bizzare how the FA and PL haven't intervened ? Scandalous state of affairs !
