Sky now reporting we've applied for an emergency loan and predicting the application will be rejected by the PL because we have two fit keepers!
I'm not sure folk realise just how serious this situation is. Currently, Eddy gets sick, injured, sent off, overwhelmed by personal circumstances etc and we are stuffed. Grimshaw is nowhere near the level required. We expect the Spafia to have a contingency plan but there is no sign of it yet, and if there is no recall clause for Muric that seems incredibly incompetent. The European window is still open for 10 days so Breda could sign a replacement.
(An interesting story from the other place about one of our Academy graduates possibly buying out his contract to become a free agent:
"Sheffield Wednesday are apparently desperate to get Keiren Westwood off their books. They’re sailing very close to the wind, with regard to ffp and He’s their highest earner. He hasn’t played since the 9th of December last year. (Allegedly because, one way or another, he’s due a big chunk of money if he plays one more first team game for them). Might be a good option for all parties, if both Wednesday and Westwood were agreeable to the cancellation of his contract, and we could then sign him as a free agent.")

We can't sign them until January. Lets focus on who we can get now
Emergency loan.
They also say it's 'unlikely to be allowed' in the rag/scouse parasite press - and with Scudamore's standing orders they may be right.
I think we would need to have no senior goalkeeper at all for them to allow a temporary transfer - this was the situation when we signed Fulop after Given, Taylor and Gonzales were all crocked and only Gunnar Nielsen was fit. Here I am in animated conversation about the subject on Radio 5 Live at the time with that odious dipper slug Alan Green - who hung up on me.
I was about to ask the biased brickbrain who we were supposed to have on the bench when I was unplugged - off air the producer said well done
