Take that after the first 10/15 minutes. The plan looks to be to tire them out and stretch the play, it’s just not quite working as our passing has been off. But with pace on the flanks and Sane chomping at the bit later on we can do this

And as for mendy - He’s the worst defender we have had for years .

Agreed. But he's on the left. Not sure whether Pellers taking him off at half time or Pep playing him on the left is the worst confidence destroyer for him?!

I think Peps played this brilliantly. Took the sting out the game and slowed it down. We're in a better position to win it now, as we've settled on the ball.Just need 1 or 2 cool heads around the box and the goal will come

This is exactly what we must do.

Sterling is always poorer on the left. He’s wasted there.

Pep has shown today that he’ll always play Mendy ahead of Sane.

This.

Expect a frantic start to the second half from the dippers just as in the first. Ride the storm out and it's there for the taking.

is totally irrelevant, City are playing a containing game , making their forwards and midfield work hard to get the ball.

Don't really know what his options were with Delph injured. Zinch is too slow and inexperienced for the big games.

0-0 against these is good so far. We normally self destruct. Still time mind.

Would like to see sane on and sterlong switched if it stays like this till 60 to 65.

He's a dick head for that.

It's obviously tactical with Sterling providing better defensive cover. Note how many times Mendy has bombed forward, I don't think I've seen it once meaning that he is under orders to sit unless there's an easy passage.

I can see Pep staying with these tactics for another 20 minutes and if the Dippers show more signs of tiredness, switch Sterling and bring on Sane.
