Big City win today i reckon, players will be so up for this one. Liverpool are not anywhere near the level the media would have you believe.

Which is why Atkinson has been appointed as ref.

It will not be enough - City to win.

You're joking aren't ya. It'll start with those soft freekick for them, then breaking our play up in the middle, moving onto positioning himself inbetween our lines of play before bringing out the yellows to ensure we can't compete. If that doesn't work we'll see the second yellow flashed for diving when Milner clears out one of our players.

Call me cynical but after the CL games last season they know they can get away with anything.

Pretty much how I feel.

We have to be perfect at all times to get a result.

in the last 15yrs we have only lost once when we have scored first.
Drawn twice or so after taking the lead.
All other prem games at theirs in that time we have gone a goal down first. and lost.

It is a place where we should adopt a strategy of looking not to conceed first, whatever it takes. Let them have the ball
and sit a bit deeper, play an extra DM for the first part of the game. Play them at their game and try to hit them with counters
instead of controlling the game.

Not Peps way i know, but if we conceed first they have us exactly where they want us. And we keep conceeding first.
They struggle against Chelsea, and we have a much better counterattack than Chelsea.

So a slight change of plan is needed i rekon and it would be a walk in the park.

No not joking. Maybe just naive. This is the way I see it playing out.
The PL need to be conservative with this game.
It is all over the media re Atkinson being their goto Mr. FixTheResult....
The interest and audience for this game will be huge.
If the cheating is to obvious they will damage 'the product' and this could be $$$ expensive.
Atkinson is there to help the Dippers - without doubt - but he cannot do a CL type mugging on us.

Dippers are not playing well, the front three are not gelling, Salah's work rate has dropped, Mane is not doing it...

City to win

I agree. However pep’s ego won’t allow it. He will plow ahead with plan A and we’ll likely get punished for it.

It would only take a slight mod with someone tasked with being a second DM minded role, at least initially.

He wont do it i guess, but with the scouce front 3 not performing he may well get away with it. I think may happen today. But it wont mean we have cracked their set up in the long term. it will just mean they were not at their best. imo

Please please please don't play Stones or Gundo for this!!!

Stones is class, but when he's pressured he's one massive fuck up away from ruining the game for us.

Gundo will go in to hiding.

I have to agree. Would like to see a slightly altered more cautious approach. At least at.rhe start. But pep won't change.

Mahrez starting so I presume him on the right and Sterling on the left. I really don’t like Sterling on the left.
Can’t believe Sane isn’t starting!
