Correct me if I'm wrong, did Silva miss the last three encounters against those scum? Him and bubble gum running the midfield might make all the difference come Sunday

No, just the league game at Anfield.

So true, but then so was Arsenal and the swamp once.

Based on recent history Im very worried about this match, especially coming off a tough away match in Germany. Thankfully Liverpool have one day less of rest and are also away.

Im very curious what the lineup will be. With the international break looming will Pep play both Silva and Aguero from the start after both played the full 90 at Hoffenheim? Will Laporte go back to CB where he’s been outstanding all season or did his awful showing at LB confine him to the bench? Who will be LB, Mendy or Zinchenko?

As messed up as it is, Im pleased that Gundogan likely wont be available for this match which forces Pep to start Bernardo who has been our best player so far all season. And we all know how Gundogan has played for most of the season.

Fearing the worst, quite a bit to be concerned about.
1 Atkinson, see other thread.
2 Left back will Ben be back / Delph out.
3 Mendy at left back.
4 Our full backs leaving our centre halfs to deal with the Liverpool front 3 on their own too often.
5 Fern, expecting too much of him now. He will be put under huge pressure.
6 No Kevin.
7 Sterling possibly bottling it again.

Sorry to seem negative but we have issues and I am not hopeful.

The answer to three or four of those questions is 3-5-2. It might leave us with other questions to be answered, though.

He trained with the squad on Monday but only for part of the session. I don't think we will see him for weeks yet. He will be missed and the LB position remains a problem.

Be worth having him on the bench just to keep the dippers guessing though

I’d settle for a decent performance from the referee
We’ve been unlucky here too often the official has contributed. If we win it will be sweet to say the least they deserve a bit of karma for attacking the bus if there’s any justice we’ll get all three points.

I think Kev not in the side against the dippers might do us more good; they'll be less 'up for it' due to over condidence knowing we are weaker and of our poor record. Last season we were under pressure to keep our unbeaten record and maybe underestimated them knowing we were superior. This time around, they have to deliver so the pressure is on them. Mo Salah is misfiring, in fact their attack is not as prolific as last season although they've improved at the back. If we play to our strengths, We could get a result as long as we dont have brain farts.
Potentially they could smash us but suspect it will be cagey affair going either way

I can see a Chelsea away of last season type performance that will frighten the shit out of them all.

Last season they got a bit of luck at their place, it could happen again but i think we will win convincingly. The whole club from top to bottom should be fired up for this one, for a number of obvious reasons. Come on City and shut these smelly stanley knife carrying cunts up.
