We dominated the dippers at their house and Klipperty will know in his heart of hearts that his team and squad just aren't going to be quite good enough to win the PL.

A win would have been fantastic, but a point will have served its purpose and we will be the much happier training ground tomorrow

good points , but to be gifted that penalty at the end, well we should have nailed the three .

True, but in the grand scheme of things it was a much better afternoon for Manchester City than the dippers

It was their big chance to subdue us with 'shock and awe' and confirm their title pretensions and they bottled it. No win in four for them, lucky their next game is Huddersfield! And KDB will be back after the international break :D :D :D

I’m gutted we didn’t take our opportunity today, but I’ll get over it.

Top of the league. Apoint better off in the head to heads.
KDB is back so letvthe fun begin. Aguero to have a well deserved rest.
Mendy hopefully will settle the fnck down and concentrate on learning our game and how to defend in it.
He needs to learn how to adapt to playing with Sane, because we need Sane and if it’s one or the other, I choose Sane.

I agree with Carl , i have no idea what Doug thought he was watching today .

Seems I watched the same game as Pep did. Team set up well , played well, dealt with basically all their attacking threat and breakaway prowess. Our front 3 were not as good as an attacking force as we would have liked but they ( 2 of them for certain) were important for the teamwork as an overall defensive unit.

We should have had 3, maybe even 4, penalties, and should have won but an away draw at anfield is a good result and probably most if not all on here would have taken a point before the game started. Sorry if I don't go berserk when somebody makes a mistake and wish them dead.

Doug,

We all watched the same game.

David Silva should have stepped up and told Mahrez to get back to where he once belonged.

No way should Mahrez be a penalty taker .

The camera fixed on him and his eyes were rolling . Stupid to allow this waster any critical chance like this.

Bernardo would have nailed it.

City blaze a penalty what's the surprise mate.

Hope Jesus doesn't take that to his head, since he's one of the most likely younger players to leave.

I said before that if we're top of the league by the time Kev is back, we'll be in good shape. And here we are 8-)

Very happy with that result, feared the worst going into it, especially when I saw Atkinson was at the controls.

Shocked that we actually got a penalty at Anfield, shame Rodney fluffed it.

We should've won but overall that was a great away result yesterday for us. Stones and Laporte were calmness personified at the back, brilliant performances by both.

Think that result was really important after the last few games against them, mentally that will do our players the world of good.

Hopefully the media will stop making them out to be the great side they are not.

I hate to say it bur Salah starting to cut the shape of a one season wonder :D

@ outcast

I wouldn't swap him either mate , I just don’t like him at all ( purely down to him telling us fans what to do and when to do !!!, he can fuck off off with that BS) really don’t , but swap him ? Never - He’s one of the best managers in the world but he’s certainly not bullit proof to a slagging off for his fuckups , today was a fuckup , you do not let someone that has a fucking dire record at pens taking one in the last few minutes ,of one of the most important matches of the season , especially when you have a Brazilian forward who plays for his country on the bastard pitch . Lunacy !

Maybe because he's missed his last two.

Apparently he knocks them in for fun while training and is one of our best. Seems his confidence is in need of a boost while in front of the fans.
As for the result I'm happy enough. Only 8 games in and we are top after playing 3 of our harder 6 games of the season. It's all in our hands as far as I can see and momentum has been lost a little for the dippers over the last 4 games. Time to keep an eye on the chavs and arsenal.

Any noise about that thug Mane getting a retro ban for sticking his studs into Fern's chest?
