You're joking aren't ya. It'll start with those soft freekick for them, then breaking our play up in the middle, moving onto positioning himself inbetween our lines of play before bringing out the yellows to ensure we can't compete. If that doesn't work we'll see the second yellow flashed for diving when Milner clears out one of our players.

Call me cynical but after the CL games last season they know they can get away with anything.

Pretty much how I feel.

We have to be perfect at all times to get a result.
It wears us down.

It is a place where we should adopt a strategy of looking not to conceed first, whatever it takes. Let them have the ball
and sit a bit deeper, play an extra DM for the first part of the game. Play them at their game and try to hit them with counters
instead of controlling the game.

Not Peps way i know, but if we conceed first they have us exactly where they want us. And we keep conceeding first.
They struggle against Chelsea, and we have a much better counterattack than Chelsea.

So a slight change of plan is needed i rekon and it would be a walk in the park.

I agree. However pep’s ego won’t allow it. He will plow ahead with plan A and we’ll likely get punished for it.

I agree. However pep’s ego won’t allow it. He will plow ahead with plan A and we’ll likely get punished for it.

It would only take a slight mod with someone tasked with being a second DM minded role, at least initially.

He wont do it i guess, but with the scouce front 3 not performing he may well get away with it. I think may happen today. But it wont mean we have cracked their set up in the long term. it will just mean they were not at their best. imo
