I thought Pep never misses anything football wise. If he said that he is indeed a fucking idiot.

Missed his penalty and what was worse was he didnt even hit the target and make the goalie make a save. That said, he had the balls to step up and take it and he gets credit for that.

But our worse signing? Not even close

For where we are now, where we're heading - he's P4P our worst signing mate.

He said it but he knew it. A chap like Pep does not not know this kind of stat. Mahrez wanted to be the hero and took the decision over a kid (slightly out of form) who would have put it away, and missed. Made himself look a cunt and such a situation might just settle him down somewhat.

He didn't have the balls, he had the absolute arrogance, stupidity and pigheadedness to step up .

This team are Centurions ! earn the right to step up there.

Anyone of eight players could have taken that penalty , not least big Ed- what would that message have sent , if big Ed scored the winner ?

Was written all over it that he would miss, had a terrible match, then pulled Jesus away to take it himself.

He didn't know at all mate. You could see the shock in his face when Shreaves repeated it. He didn't know at all.

Some extraordinary stuff on here. Fine lines between hero (if he scores the winner) and zero (as he missed)

So we write him off after 8 league games and pep who masterminded the most amazing season ever becomes an idiot in certain quarters whilst in others mahrez wasnt peps signing.

Unberfuckinglievable.

Used to love this site..a long long time ago and on reflection, largely when we were shit. And for those about to tell me to fuck off then, well yes it probably would be good advice.

Oh and finally worth noting that raheem sterling, he's top of the league.

Alex Ferguson, the most successful British manager ever, bought Kleberson, Veron, Butner etc. A good manager can make a bad signing.

True but i dont think those players were necessarily written off after just 8 games

Mahrez could still be a poor signing, who knows but to write him off and call the manager out for it after 8 games is just plain stupid when weighed against peps record and decision making at city last season.
