Edwrson or Alisson?

Not who you prefer but I’ve been wondering a couple of things.

First if Alisson was able to be bought what made Pep want Ed more?

Second what is it the Brazilian coaches prefer in Alisson?

I’ve not seen enough of him to say he’s better at any one thing, so why did we choose one and Brazil choose the other?

Ed is better with the ball at his feet.

I think Eddy is better all around. He has that craziness of the goalkeeper and his positioning is fantastic and his view of the game both in the offence and in the defence.
From what I saw from Alisson, he has better reflexes.

I've seen others say it and it's my view too that Alisson is the Brazil no 1 simply because he's given no reason not to be.
Both keepers are of a similar style and ability, and unless they go along the route of rotating them, which to be honest, I think is counterproductive, one has to be no 1.
IMHO, it'll take a few bad performances from Alisson to change that.

Horses for courses. Allison is more of a conventional keeper who suits Liverpool and if placed in our team would not have the same effect.

I think Ederson is the better all rounder and if Brazil wanted to play from the back then there'd be an immediate chance in the number 1.

This.
As an outsider, this looks the same with Butland and Pickford.

Ed is the better footballer.
Allison is taller and quite imposing in goal.
He has good reflexes and is a good shot stopper but I’m still convinced we’ll see a few more fnck ups like when Kelechi robbed him, once the pressure goes on him more, which I’m convinced will happen as Liverpool tire in the season.

Give me Ed any day. Very decent in goal but there isn’t a better footballing keeper out there.

I looked into the stats, last year, when I discovered Ederson was being kept from the Brazil number one slot, by a keeper of a similar age, who was being linked with our rivals.

Historically, Alisson has consistently had better saving stats, but Ederson has better distribution. For City, IMO Ederson is better.

For Brazil it depending on their team's strengths, weaknesses and style of play, but there's not much between them.

Ed is better with his feet but Alisson is better with his hands in my opinion.

Pep values feet in a keeepr and Tete values shot-stopping in a keeper.

Thanks for the replies guys. I’d watch Liverpool to assess but you know I fucking hate them too much.

Not too dissimilar to Shilton and Clemence vying for top spot. Both excellent keepers who aren't too different in their attributes. I'd say from what I've seen that Ederson suits our passing game better and is calmer playing it. But Allison looks like he has the game to possibly adapt
