Just for balance, Walker was almost as bad.

I can forgive him playing shit – the pitch certainly didn't help – but stupid antics like the missed punch on Lamella and not busting a gut to correct his fuck ups is inexcusable.

Just shows you the players who haven’t got a decent touch struggled most.
They hadn’t the confidence to play it and you could see it unnerve them.

Mendy was incredibly poor though. His timing even with the ball in the air was dreadful. Both him and Walker guilty of strolling back on more than one occasion after us losing the ball.

Can’t see that Zinchenko would have been any worse of an option.

Ironically our defence won us those points today although we were extremely lucky.

But Nidge will love this. Silva and Sergio should have had us three ahead.

Great three points. Last year that was points dropped. Our defence is holding up though, by and large.

Had a stinker. No doubt about that. But they all do at some point. Will look to see what his reaction will be next few games.

Yep, all about his reaction now, he had started to look a bit more settled recently too but he was all over the place tonight.

Absolute dog shit tonight, and slow with it.

Walker wasn't much better, but faster.

Defending was always going to be the issue with Mendy and in one or 2 games I was surprised and pleased with his performances. Not tonight tho as he was rubbish along with Walker. Amazing that we could keep another clean sheet with 2 defenders being so poor.

Pep will work on his defending and he will get better and better
