MotM v Spurs

Postby Beefymcfc » Mon Oct 29, 2018 10:02 pm

Phewww, that was intense, that 2nd half showed that Pep has now got the defensive system as good as it can be, they were superb and only allowed Spurs a couple of chances, even after gifting them.

Even though a win, it's got to be one of the CBs for me, just not sure which one so I think we should go with 2 choices today ;-)

I have major worries about our total and complete over reliance on him.

Unusual that in such a big important win there are not loads of contenders for MotM. Fern deserves it with Stones and Laporte defending really well and good stuff too from Mahrez and the 2 Silvas in terms of ball retention.

Im struggling to pick one. Magnificent team display - Ed was brilliant ... put his body on the line yet again. Laporte and Stones played at a significantly better level. Fernandinho just superb. David and Bernie just bossed it. Ive gone for Sterling for his creativety.

Fern for me.

In a game where lots of players on both sides struggled with the pitch, he stepped up and led by example.

Fantastic performance.

I gave it to Eddie just for that block in front of Kane. It was fantastic.

Has to be Fern. Great performances from Eric n Stonesy & the Silva Bros and Ed. but Fern dominated a big powerful Spuds midfield with Dyer, Dembele, and another on a mud pack. This guy is incredible

We have best defensive pairing in Stones and Laporte, if they keep it up, they potentially can become the best in prem.
