"My girlfriend woke me up about the supposed offer. ‘Oh heavens!’, I thought when I could open my eyes,” De Jong said in an interview with the same publication.

De Jong also claimed that no such deal had been reached. "There is no deal. Nothing has been decided yet. I would not be able to make a decision now. I will not leave in the winter anyway,” he said.

"I’m only thinking about Ajax. There are five games left before the winter holidays and I cannot waste time thinking about my future. It would be a lack of respect on my part towards Ajax and my teammates.”

Never seen him play but he sounds like a pretty decent bloke from this comment.

The little shit can stay where he is. If ever there was a player to avoid it's him. Wouldn't take him on a free.

On a free he'd be useful. A quick sale for 120 million, cash in the bank to spend on a real footballer who can actually stand up.

His decision is said to be coming in a few weeks...we'll see if he's coming here.
Barca might be priced out if theyre prioritizing De Ligt.

I really don't give a flying fuck about all this transfer bullshit these days. Until (if) we sign him I don't give a shit about him or what fucking decisions he has to make.
Fucking ladyboy drama queens the lot of them.

This reminds me of the Hazard saga.

Imho, we are at a level where we should sign players that would do anything to play in our shirt and not players that have other ”options” and will decide. If City made contact, there is no one else.

As a City fan I agree. But from the outside, we're not Barca or Madrid yet. So you can understand him wanting to take the time to decide where he'll be spending most of his career.

We are not, but imho, after those two there is us.
Barcelona and Real are at the end of a saga if you ask me, Messi is not getting any younger and they will need some time to get back at their best. Everyone does that.
On the other hand, as I said previous, I have no idea what role he will play here.

From what I've seen from Ajax supporters. Everyone involved at Ajax have an affinity for Barca because of Cruyff.
