MotM v Fulham

Postby Beefymcfc » Thu Nov 01, 2018 9:49 pm

Thought it was a superb display considering the lack of playing time but tonight I could see that any of those players could give cover in our first team.

MotM though, has to be Diaz, doesn't it?

Maybe it's Diaz but I went for Delph. Very early on he made a great covering challenge and he just did his job superbly. Hardly put a foot wrong. Seems to do that whenever he is called on doesn't he.

Had to go for Kev. A man amongst boys for most of tonight. Impressed with Phil Foden again, he is now looking more than tough enough to face the rigours of the Prem. Jesus was superb, not only the workrate but his constant talking to his fellow attackers, telling them what spaces to take up and when to close down.

Danilo by a country mile for me.
I thought Diaz was rather anonymous despite his two goals.

Sane desperately needs a run of games as he now looks average.
De Bruyne’s pressing was very impressive today

No real standout, an excellent team performance, not a bad showing from any of them.

So I've gone for Mahrez

Diaz looked like a young Carlos Tevez.

Delph was very useful in the Fern role - never lets us down.
I'm not sure what Mahrez did in his 12 minutes to impress voters? :D

It's BigBlue. He loves Mahrez more than Mahrez loves falling over the ball when trying to beat a defender.

I'd go with Danilo or Delph. Or Stones but that just seems to be me!

We've always known Diaz has an eye for goal but to me he has always spent a lot of time on his backside. Seems very, very lightweight and I think a move to Spain can't be too far away (contract up?)

Sane was his oft-seen mix of brilliant and shocking.

Wouldn't say shocking!! It was far from his worst performance.
He is class but needs to play.
