Very proud for Delph that he's gets to add captain of England to his resume. As genuine as pro footballers come these days.

"Lingard scores a special goal here, as he has done many times for Man United"

It's incredible how downhill US soccer has gone in the past 10 years.

That’s what happens when you call football soccer

I'm amazed at how poor they are. Not much effort either, so I'm assuming they are not playing a strong team either?

 Knew that comment was coming.

It's more a result of the youth development system being terrible. Horrible trained coaches, only wealthy kids can afford to be on the better teams, and the high school -> college route is not an ideal way to develop top talent.

We are playing a lot of young players with little international experience. At least they aren't playing in MLS and are over in Europe for the most part.

Good to see Delph getting minutes at DM. Hopefully we never need that this season but nice to have a backup for Fern.

Croatia go 1 up against Spain - then Spain equalise - then go one up - then Croatia equalise and get the winner in added time. Great game, unlike the testimonial at Wembley.

Quite an industrious and unsexy England midfield. But at least Henderson isn't playing.

Can't wait for Foden to take over the mantle from wooden pegged work horses like Dier.

Delph motm so far. But he's gonna be knackered after 60 minutes they way he runs around like a beep-beep roadrunner.

was hoping sterling had turned a corner against Spain, but he is still infuriating when he gets in the box for eng.
