This thread is a tribute to Martin Samuel. He has almost singlehandedly defeated the latest vicious attack on us by the cartel clubs and their parasite media. We need always to remember who the journalists were who set out to destroy us - their ugly true colours have been clearly revealed in recent weeks and a few of the most virulent deserve their own threads on here - which I'll oblige them with in due course- in the meantime here's the rogues gallery

Been a while since I looked into an everyone is out to get us thread but I recall Samuel was the enemy at one point, a jew who would never say a good thing about a football club run by Arabs. What happened?

It’s alright Ronay and Hattenstone in the Gruniard have leap on board - we have been brainwashed to the appalling treatment of Matt Hedges due to our owners being from UAE - it seems that Ronay realises Piers Morgan started something on social media but that doesn’t fit his argument so it gets a mention in passing after he’s accused City fans of being blind. Hattenstone does his normal rant about being a City fan but hating our owners. What they both fail to understand is that this is modern football, with questionable owners everywhere. I’m not blind to Hedges appalling treatment but equally it’s not our owners fault.

I'm all for reform in non-democratc countries, but why should it just be City that get the stick.Not one word about sports washing in regard to this weekend's Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi (though they do mention Bahrain and Azerbaijan).

this appalling treatment of which you speak - he is a 'soon to be pardoned' convicted spy after all and a cursory glance at his cv background would certainly raise eyebrows even among the most scrupulous of arms dealers. You have to ask yourself why, out of the hundreds of thousands of europeans studying and working in the UAE, they would just pick on this bloke.

Why indeed, in a country where we have military bases and considered a friend - seems to be an odd target to spy on. Even if he is guilty I find the solitary confinement and lack of consulate involvement questionable in terms of his treatment.
