He'll most likely go out on loan. He doesn't automatically qualify for a work permit and I don't think he will get an exception for special talent. Also its £5.5m rising to £7.8m the $10m you keep hearing is in US dollars.

Never understood how if someone doesn’t get a work permit for England, they can get one in another EU country

Never understood myself how any footballer gets refused a work permit over here. All that money in taxes and money spent here, it's hardly like they are going to be claiming benefits.
