More pissed off we're losing Diaz and lost Sancho because of signing him!

Sancho left us a year before Mahrez signed.

But he knew we were going to buy him sooner or later.

Did he fuck. He should have been busting a gut in training then if he thought we’d buy another player in his position to send a message of “I’m here, spend the money elsewhere”

He wanted more money like Sturridge before him and the club called him out on it. He left. Turns out he possibly has something, but let’s see if he’s still the hotshot in 2/3 years before we criticise the club

What about Diaz?

Same again. From what we have seen of them both in first team action, Foden has looked the more competent, assured player who fits into our team better. He has grasped his chance better. That’s not to say Diaz isn’t going to be a good/great player. He may be. But sometimes there’s only room for one young guy in the team learning the ropes as two would be too much. And at the moment a Foden is grasping the nettle better than Diaz.

Also, he is a young Spanish lad, has no long term ties to City and if Madrid come calling as they are rumoured to have done, then of course his head will be turned. If he goes, he goes. We get a decent fee and wish him all the best.
