League cup Leicester v Holders

Postby nottsblue » Mon Dec 17, 2018 8:30 pm

The games really are coming thick and fast now. Tough game this and a lot will depend on which sides both managers put out.

Surely this is Leicesters best chance of silverware so you’d think they’d go all out whereas we have more pressing concerns

Go for 2-0 City with Foden

Forgot competely about this. Really don't think we should be too bothered with it this season.
The vermin are going to go all balls out to win the league. And we should be solely focused on the league and getting ahead of them come feb.

I'll try again, I assume Robben = Mahrez, care to elaborate?

I wouldn't start Fernandinho, that's playing with fire.

Have we no right back in the academy that can stand in, we're flogging Walker, what about Garcia?

Good chance for KDB and Serg to get some minutes. Just scared they'll be booted in to next week though :|

We should try to win every game. as it comes. I think Pep agrees with that.

Bit of a sad day when we are too proud to bother with a cup as it's sort of beneath us.

Agree with this. Getting a pot in February gives us a big boost and keeps the trophy count ticking over. Pep will try to rotate but he will want us to win and then we can go into the semis in January and take it from there

Never said it was beneath us. It's not the priority.
The league is the priority and it's not going to be easy.

Pep looks at who needs a rest for each game and does it like that. I believe that, within reason, he always prioritises 'the next game'

Maybe he should have a rethink on that policy, just for this season and the circumstances.

I'll try again, I assume Robben = Mahrez, care to elaborate?

I wouldn't start Fernandinho, that's playing with fire.

Have we no right back in the academy that can stand in, we're flogging Walker, what about Garcia?

Garcia is a good quality prospect for the future but not as a full back and definitely not against a flying winger like Gray

Is Bolton still injured? Anyone else there that could do a job. Walker looks like he's running on empty and we need him fresh over Xmas.

Any coaches from close to the city centre ?

Luke Bolton is just back from another injury. but altho Walker needs a rest I think it was right that he played against Gray. And no we don't have a right back close to being capable for the first team coming through.
