amazing that his first game will be at the stadium where he enjoyed so much success in his first stint as a premier league manager

You are the richest club in the world, going through tough times, and who do you turn to? A manager in the Norwegian 1st division who miserably failed the only time he managed in the PL (3 wins in 18 games, 42 goals conceded). All because he was a good player for them 20 years ago. You couldn't make this up.
Not the best for recruiting world class talent either. You want to play for the failed ex-managers of Cardiff and Hull?
Regardless they'll probably get a short term boost in play just from having the negativity from mourinho gone. I predict they'll get some big scores vs smaller teams, but let a ton of goals in and get slaughtered in bigger games. Wonderful times ahead.

The argument I heard today went something along the lines of anyone can fail at somewhere like Cardiff. But when you are at the greatest club blah blah, that you love blah blah, with great players blah blah with a massive budget then he's bound to succeed.
Isn't he?

This is going to be great. Solskjær likes a high pressing approach. Good luck trying that with Martial and Lukaku - the two laziest players in the Premier League - never mind the other donkeys: Fellaini, Matic, Mata. etc
They ought to have admitted the truth, that their squad is a perfect match for Fat Sam.

He made Cardiff worse when he went there. They had a passable defence, but couldn't score goals. He sacrificed the defence, but the goals never followed. So that argument is the equivalent of sticking your head in the sand; aka a typical rag retort.

The question is, will they give him money to spend?
It will be hilarious if so.

Apparently Solskaer had a rate of 0.39 goals per game in the Prem? Surely not? Sky Sports were saying before how fantastic he was..

It's all about goals per minute, mate. Golden sub as a player, golden sub as manager. He'll have them backing top 4 in no time.

I always thought Solskjaer was an Arsenal fan, but it turns out that was just an Ole Gunnar joke.

I hope he does well, finishes 4th in the league and he is given a permanent deal.
Then he fucks up the transfer window and summer training and they are back in the same position next year at the same time.
I would be poethic.

His Molde teams also like to play it out from the back - the way Pep's got us playing ; can you imagine that with United's back 4 ? Phelany as defence coach ? Fun times ahead !
