Going to give it a whirl over Christmas. Don't mind Sunderland since they took the piss out of the rags last day of 11/12

My best mate is a Mackem he offered me a place in a corporate box free food and as much alcohol as I want, that was a no but I might watch that on Netflix being off work for 2 weeks

Worth seeing, and even though I know some won't agree, the way they depicted Rodwell's contract situation was very slanted towards Sunderland and their fans - even if I understand that's the whole point of the documentary.

If a business gives you a contract they owe it to you period. The club may suffer and the fans, but the owners should put a relegation clause in it.

I think Rodwell is arguably the worst other than the rest of the players we signed that summer many on the last day, which is rather staggering to consider:

Sinclair, Garcia, Maicon

Did we sign Nastastic that summer as well? He wasn't terrible at least.

Rodwell had no chance to even get into the team and it is a rather incredulous fall of the Michael Johnson-ian level.

I must say Txiki deserves credit for getting him sold for whatever it was, I think it was like £13m? Why Sunderland gave him a 70k a week contract and no relugation clause as well says a lot about how poorly they were run.

Looking like they could get back to the Championship, but we shall see.

Call me crazy, but it still think Mangala is a decent defender for any EPL Club outside the big ones.

Sad to be a Sunderland supporter and having those players.

I think the Rodwell situation said everything about how he really is. Instead of working and trying to reach again a big level, he decided to cash in and do nothing.

Saids a lot about how footballers are these days.

Read somewhere they picked Sunderland because they thought Sunderland would bounce right back and be promoted. Well as everyone knows it went in the opposite direction. This is the second time a documentary has been made about Sunderland, the first was the 96-97 season that was on the BBC. They also got relegated from the Premier League that season. Sunderland need to tell people to fuck off when someone wants to make a documentary about them.

You have to feel sad for sunderland they were shafted so many times.

Disagree with people on rodwell, he was well within his rights to do what he did. It was 100percent sunderlanda fault. Trying to bully him out aswell at one stage.

Rodwell is a joke.
Imagine City being in the same situation. Sunderland gave him a chance to play there and rehabilitate his career, instead he continued with his bollox and played almost 70 games in 4 years, the rest injured or fuck knows where. His mentality is not in the game, but on other stuff. Also, 70.000 pounds per week for playing FIFA and doing fuck all.

Of course, the club was stupid giving him that money, but give them a fucking break after your robbed them for 3 years and delivered close to none.
